Yoke Hill Leisure Wins New Tourism Business of the Year 2025

For us, Yoke Hill Leisure was never just about creating a place to swim, sauna or unwind.

It started with a much simpler idea.

To create somewhere people could breathe again.

This year, we were honoured to be named New Tourism Business of the Year at the Northamptonshire Tourism Business Awards 2025, held at Silverstone Museum and organised by Discover Northamptonshire.

Receiving this award means a huge amount to us not simply because we won, but because of what it represents.

Yoke Hill was built with the belief that wellbeing does not need to feel intimidating, exclusive or performative. We wanted to create a space where people could reconnect with nature, with themselves and with each other in a way that felt genuine.

From the beginning, the vision was different.

Not a spa. Not a gym. Not another commercial wellness trend.

Instead, a calm and welcoming environment where people could experience the power of open water, heat, cold, movement, stillness and community all within the Northamptonshire countryside.

Over the past year, we’ve watched people arrive tired, overwhelmed and disconnected, then slowly begin to reset.

We’ve seen friendships formed in the sauna. Quiet conversations after cold water swims. Families spending time together away from screens. People finding confidence again after difficult periods in life. And individuals discovering that wellbeing does not have to be complicated to be meaningful.

The journey has not been straightforward.

Like many independent businesses, we have had to build carefully, adapt constantly and balance ambition with sustainability. Behind every session, swim and event is an enormous amount of unseen work, learning and resilience.

But throughout all of it, one thing has stayed consistent:the community around Yoke Hill.

This award belongs just as much to the people who show up every week as it does to us.

To everyone who has supported us, attended sessions, shared kind words, brought friends, trusted us with your wellbeing journey, or simply sat around the fire with a coffee after a swim thank you.

You have helped shape what Yoke Hill has become.

Winning this award also places Northamptonshire wellness tourism firmly on the map. The county is home to incredible independent businesses, experiences and communities, and we are proud to be part of that growing movement.

This is still only the beginning for Yoke Hill Leisure.

As we move forward, our focus remains the same: creating meaningful experiences, protecting the atmosphere people value, and continuing to build a place where people feel welcome, grounded and restored.
