Our General Booking Policy 

 

Wild Swimming

⚠️ Safety Information

Lifeguards are on duty, but wild swimming is swim-at-your-own-risk.

Lifeguards monitor safety and respond in emergencies but cannot eliminate all risks.

Conditions can change due to weather, temperature, wildlife, or currents.

Children under 16 are not permitted.

Entry is voluntary; by swimming you accept these risks.

 

✅ Before You Swim

Check in with staff and follow all signage and lifeguard instructions.

Swim with a buddy or within view of lifeguards.

Acclimatize slowly to cold water.

Do not swim if under the influence or feeling unwell.

You must have a tow float to swim.

Respect wildlife and the environment.

 

🕒 Booking & Attendance

All sessions must be pre-booked.

Arrive on time, changes on the day cannot be guaranteed.

Late arrivals may have reduced swim time or be unable to enter.

 

⚖️ Disclaimer

By swimming here you:

Accept the risks of wild swimming.

Are responsible for your health and safety.

Will follow all safety rules.

Release Yoke Hill Leisure, staff, and management from liability except in cases of negligence.

Sauna & Cold Water Guidelines

 

 

Before Sauna:

Wait 10–20 min after a swim. Dry off, warm up, move gently.

Enter only when shivering stops; start with 5–10 min.

 

🔁 Contrast Routine (Sauna + Cold Dip)

1️⃣ Sauna: 10–15 min at 80–90°C, relax and raise core temp.

2️⃣ Cold Dip: 1–3 min at 10–15°C; beginners 20–60 sec.

3️⃣ Normalize heart rate.

4️⃣ Repeat: 2–3 rounds; finish with cold for alertness or sauna for relaxation.

 

 

🧠 Extra Tips

Listen to your body; stop if dizzy, numb, or shivering.

Stay hydrated; avoid alcohol.

Beginners: total session under 1 hour.

No Picnics Policy

At Yoke Hill Leisure, we are committed to providing a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all our guests. To help maintain the quality and comfort of our facilities, picnics and outside food are not permitted within the premises.

Policy Details:

  • Guests are not allowed to bring in or consume picnic-style meals, including but not limited to: homemade food spreads, coolers, picnic baskets, or group food setups.

  • Individual snacks or bottled drinks for personal consumption may be permitted, but full meals must be consumed off-site.

  • On-site food and beverage options are available through our café, any dietary needs and preferences please get in contact with us.

Purpose:

This policy is in place to:

  • Ensure the cleanliness of shared spaces.

  • Minimize littering and pest issues.

  • Support our on-site food services.

  • Promote safety and hygiene standards for all visitors.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a pleasant environment for everyone. Guests found violating this policy may be asked to dispose of outside food or leave the premises.

No Dogs Policy

To ensure the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of all our guests, dogs and other pets are not permitted on the premises of Yoke Hill Leisure. While we understand and share the love people have for their pets, this policy is in place to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Policy Details:

  • No dogs (including those on leads, in carriers, or being held) are allowed within any part of the leisure grounds or buildings.

Purpose:

This policy is in place to:

  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in all public areas.

  • Prevent potential risks or discomfort for other guests

  • Preserve the natural environment and wildlife in our outdoor spaces.

We kindly ask all visitors to make suitable arrangements for their pets before arriving. Anyone found in breach of this policy may be asked to leave the premises.
